Asked for fuel filter in the shop when i was getting my oil etc and was given a large filter, like a longer oil filter, i have used this type before on my audi diesel. But i cant see anywhere it fits and am convinced its the wrong part cos there isnt one like it in the engine

does anyone know where the fuel filter is for the 3.0 v6 please ;)

I've just had a flick through the workshop manual. "Under the car floor, next to the fuel tank". Looks like a large cylinder with banjo connectors on either end - very similar to a Mk2 Golf I used to have.

There is a mesh filter in the tank with the pump, but it is very common not to have a seperate filter now.
156/147/GT TS & V6 are the same.
