Hi, had my 2016 Giulietta Veloce a few months now, and was wondering how easy it would be to get the dashboard centre (round the infotainment screen) and the little bit the other side painted to match the exterior?

It is currently a boring silver grey like the rest of the interior (see photos), apart from the red stitching and carbon effect surround, so I think it would look nice painted red to match the outside.

I have seen this on older Giuliettas pre the sat-nav screen, but this has been an add-on.

any guidance on how this can be done, or whether a vinyl wrap to match would work on the curves?

Of course, I would need a Veloce badge on it as well !

I would expect it to be removeable in the same way as on the early ones.

Then you could either paint it yourself or get it done at a body shop.

On my earlier car the coloured section looks to just push on, although I have heard of some cars having screws which are accessed with the glovebox open.

I often wonder why Alfa didn't paint this to match the exterior as they went to the effort of making the exterior colour visible on the doors...

The Fiat Coupe had the body coloured dash and it looked very nice indeed.

Finally managed to visit the wrappers today to have a chat. I've decided to go in a totally different direction to what I originally planned and that will be Piano Black. This will match the other piano black in the car like the grab handles and centre console. So booked in for next Monday and will take photo's when it's done.

Getting windows tinted too (Just medium tint) and worst case scenario if I don't like the dash I can just have it re-wrapped as it's only ÂŁ50 for that bit of the job.

The bit framing the display is quite thin in the new design so visually not as worthwhile doing in one colour. I wonder if the black surround for the display is part of the panel on the new one instead of coming through from the head unit?
I've considered carbon fibre for mine since buying it in 2011 but I've read Koshi bits need a bit of finishing. Alfa carbon panel was only lhd, as I've said before.

Looks very nice.

I am tempted to change the colour of my dash insert as it is grey/silver painted at the moment, but it doesn't match any of the other silver bits in the car.

Gloss black does look good, and would be relatively easy to paint.

Yes it looks good.

But as mine is a Lusso it is smooth finish to start with so i reckon painting would be a good option.

Trouble is you would either have to leave it out of the ar whilst the paint dried, or put up with the small for a week or two after.

I also fancy replacing the Blue and Me stereo as I really don't get along with it, and I think the amp is slightly faulty. I think a facia panel done in a different colour would be good, then I could put the car back to standard easily enough at a later date.

Cheers mate will bear that in mind. But I would ideally like to go down the replacement stereo DAB route and then paint the facia adaptor in piano black I think.

Hopefully the price of the facia adaptors will come down from what they are now.

Interior and exterior vinyl wrap styling

Whilst looking for alternatives to a full dash wrap, I came across this ebay shop via Instagram

http://stores.ebay.co.uk/risicosfizio?_rdc=1

He does all sorts of pre-cut stuff for different Alfa models, well worth a look, and available in a range of vinyl!!

I like the dash stickers, see attached

So if you're looking for something a bit different, try Risicosfizio on eBay

Giulietta Dashboard

OK, whilst getting a graze and a couple of stone chips sorted, I paid a bit extra and got the dashboard panels painted Rosso Alfa to match the exterior. see picture below - very pleased with it!!

That looks amazing!

I know this is an old thread, but I've been thinking about something similar for the dash of my newly acquired 2015 QV. It's currently got a very boring swathe of black. I've gone from a 147 with tan leather seats to the Giuletta's all-back upholstery and dash and I do find the sea of black a bit less visually appealing. This would definitely give it a visual boost! :)

How expensive/complex was that to get done? Are most paint shops comfortable with painting internal items like a dash insert? Any traps to avoid or particular tips for how to make it look good (eg what finish did you specify)?
