Iv not had my MiTo long, 6 weeks maybe. And need a bit of help with it.

2010 MiTo 80000 miles 135 Lusso

The engine check light came on and off occasionally with no real issues. Internet searches pointed to the battery so i changed that with no improvement. last week the light was on more often and going into what felt like a limp mode (I dont thinks its limp modes but thats what i'l call it for now'). Switching the engine off normally gets the car out of 'limp mode' and is back to full power for a while.

The 'engine check' is on all the time now and drives ok until 'limp mode' comes in, but its on nearly all the time now so iv stopped driving the car.

OBD2 fault codes are P1121 and P1061 which point to TPS and Muiltiair?

I'v added some OBD2 Pics

I suspect P1061 is keeping the engine check light on all the time
and P1121 is what feels like limp mode.

Any ideas?

I personally have no idea about error codes...
However, with the symptoms you've described, I had the exact same issue on my 2010 Cloverleaf 170.
It was the multiair unit at fault and needed replacing pretty much immediately.

Thanks for replying, on Friday I went through the engines connectors prior to booking it in to the garage.
Anyway first thing I found was a spark plug connector with a clip broken and some dirt inside. Cleaned that up and pushed it back on. Engine light off and no issues 😀

The connector clip has been snapped off can these be replaced?
