Hi, I have a 2004 156 2.4jtd 20v. recently it has developed an immobiliser fault where the car will turn over but will not start, the immobiliser light stays on. I have left the car with a local garage who specialise in alfa romeos but he has said i need a complete new system, New keys, locks ecu, which will cost around £1,200!

Really looking for some advise as i cant seem to find out if my model is an easy fix.

Thanks.
John.
