Did you cover up the battery terminals and distributor (if it has one, I'm a philistine and never owned a V6) with plastic bags etc? You don't want to go spraying water on these parts because if it gets in there it can do a number on the electrics and be a bit of a pain in the backside to correct.

I hope you get it sorted because that looks like a nice motor.

Its pretty much every sensor youve gotta be careful of if washing..maybe get some wd 40 and spray every electrical bit you can see, leave battery off and basically let ot dry out

autobox and ABS module are below the battery, so although you missed the battery, underneath stil got a drenching bu the sound of it. Undo every sensor in that aear, mop up any water with kitchen towel and spray with WD40 and mop up again, even a hairdrier may work, but water is in there somewhere.
