Hi,
whilst working thro this article:

http://www.hiperformancestore.com/products.htm

I noticed that my 82 GTV6 has the "later (84-on) and Milano" engine throttle position sensor...?

My question is, is this in fact a later engine or was the 3 position throttle sensor put on earlier cars in UK? or is it even a 3.0l version?
and is there any way to tell from the outside which is which??

You can tell whether it is a 3.0 litre block from the 3.0 litre stamp on the rear (just in front of the bulkhead) of the cylinder head. You might need a mirror and a light to be able to see this. If it is a 2.5 it will be stamped in the same place.
