Yeah thats the one I have. And even after trimming it still wouldn't fit without mods to brackets etc.

Now I really do wonder if they sent me the right hose! Quite a while ago now though and everything works so it'll do! :)

just got home and had a look - the top hose has got a long split in it on the underside of it !

thats the problem then lol - i'll probably get them to fit a standard new one and then keep the old one. Order a samco and use the old as a template and fit at my leisure

What bracket? Iirc there is only a single ratchety or push fit plastic strap over it? No brackets that I can remember...
I mentioned it a couple of posts up - ECU bracket. I'll have to take a pic when I get a minute but I followed the instructions I was given over the phone and there was just no way it would go on otherwise

Yep that's the "usual suspect". You can never be sure with such things mind so always worth checking before spending money! :)

alluminium pipe does the trick, mine is on the 10v, but you can still route around the battery.

Nicely done - that shouldn't split eh! :D

Well I ordered mine on a friday and they did arrive on the Saturday.

That said I did pay the £10 for carriage. If your spending that much on the hose, might as well pay the carriage. Well thats my thinking anyway, and I have no patients waiting for new toys

True mate :)

I think this pipe has probably been split for a while - plan is fit the new red shiny, then slap the K&N filter in and then turn the tuning box up and it should run great

Just need some 17" gta teledials next lol

And might order the lower hose at some stage - may as well have it ready as im sure its inevitable for splitting as well

That is what I did, just did the both. Peace of mind etc etc.

Did you see the image I posted in the other thread, my red hose?? Looks better than the original black and the blue would look very out of place.

I want these alloys, I adore them

Yeah saw the red - thats why i ordered red - looks great !

Im not sure about the supersport alloys - i dont think i like them really but sometimes i think they look ok. Cheap to buy on ebay....... but i want GTA teledials really so will hold out for them.

Alfa Alloys are a marmite at times...

I love my normal 16" alloys at the moment but they seem very common. So I am in two minds, keep them and get a refurb or swap them over and get the Supersport. The decision is much tougher now I have just put Pirelli P7s on

In fact i've just fueled up and added Millers Econmax Diesel stuff (which I was meaning to try) and even though i've only driven 4 miles - no smoke!! cant be that successfull surely? it even says it takes 200 miles to take effect.

Anyway 70 mile drive home after work - so i will see for sure then maybe...........
Presumably the smoking came back as you've now found a split pipe? I started using Millers in a 1.9cdti Vectra that smoked terribly under full load - with Millers in the tank there was never a whiff of smoke. I found it made the engine noticeably smoother and the improvement in economy pretty much paid for the Millers. I always used that and standard supermarket diesel in preference to any of the 'super' diesels.
