I mentioned it a couple of posts up - ECU bracket. I'll have to take a pic when I get a minute but I followed the instructions I was given over the phone and there was just no way it would go on otherwiseWhat bracket? Iirc there is only a single ratchety or push fit plastic strap over it? No brackets that I can remember...
Yep that's the "usual suspect". You can never be sure with such things mind so always worth checking before spending money!just got home and had a look - the top hose has got a long split in it on the underside of it !
thats the problem then lol - i'll probably get them to fit a standard new one and then keep the old one. Order a samco and use the old as a template and fit at my leisure
Nicely done - that shouldn't split eh!alluminium pipe does the trick, mine is on the 10v, but you can still route around the battery.

Thinking about it i think i will mate - cheersOrder tomorrow you'll have next day maybe.... iirc the std top hose costs more or almost the same.
Yea, it does suit it really well.Seen any pics of a 156 with supersports on?
Presumably the smoking came back as you've now found a split pipe? I started using Millers in a 1.9cdti Vectra that smoked terribly under full load - with Millers in the tank there was never a whiff of smoke. I found it made the engine noticeably smoother and the improvement in economy pretty much paid for the Millers. I always used that and standard supermarket diesel in preference to any of the 'super' diesels. In fact i've just fueled up and added Millers Econmax Diesel stuff (which I was meaning to try) and even though i've only driven 4 miles - no smoke!! cant be that successfull surely? it even says it takes 200 miles to take effect.
Anyway 70 mile drive home after work - so i will see for sure then maybe...........
