I chopped my GTV in for a sportwagon before christmas which felt very sad!!! but i just need more space for all my junk.

The following week i drove from stratford on avon to my girlfriends near eindhoven in holland, 400 miles. I topped the tank off when i got there with another 43 litres @ 60p a liter:) .

This gives me just over 40mpg, but bearing in mind the last leg i drove 198miles in two hours thats not to bad!!! This compares to 24 in the GTV at the same speed!

It handles well and the 5 sounds fantastic, but god is it heavy at the front. Its ok round the lanes but on long sweeping corners after 2.0l GTV you really notice it.

From the looks of the arches you might have the stilt suspension which does make the front end "interesting". 17" wheels helped the saloon I had :D
