Hi,

I'm looking at buying a 2005 156 JTD and am veering towards the 2.4 for the extra smile factor.

One thing that is starting to put me off is the number of people reporting that they are bottoming out the suspension and in some cases cracking the sump. Is this a common problem? if so what can be done about it?

thanks

Had a 2.4 JTD for a year now, go steady over speed bumps and you'll be alright. I've hit a nasty one before a bit too fast and had the suspension bottom out but didn't ground the car. Uprated springs would help but these generally lower the car, I've not fitted them on mine but am thinking about it, they come highly recommended. When you get your JTD, get talking to AlfaNige on here, he can turn in into a rocket, as of yesterday mines 200bhp :D

thanks guys that sounds good. If it's just speed humps I think I could live with it! :D

I heard someone mention the Koni adjustable shocks which might help if it got really bad.
