Hi Folks,

I've bought a Brera in the last few weeks, a 2.2 jts from 2007- obviously it's gorgeous and auto porn etc :smoker:!

I am realising that I effectively know very little about this engine- the things to watch out for etc. I have also owned a 147 Twin Spark for several years now and would like to become as au fait with the JTS as I am with the TS.... Clearly, I'm in the right place here- surrounded by a sea of experts and aficionados; any tips or hints in looking after this interesting lump would be most welcome, cam chains, servicing etc.

Thanks in advance for your help :byebye:

Only weak point is the GM M32 gearbox and the chain. It is a GM based engine (L61) with an Alfa romeo 16v twin cam cylinder head and direct fuel injection. Change the gearbox oil ASAP if it wasn't done already. Change the engine oil and filter every 10-15 tkm and it should last for a long time. All in all a reliable engine
