Hiya......

I know the TS has a rep for above average oil consumption, what sort of usage should I be looking at ?
Mine is a 2000 2.0TS, with 51000 miles. I bought the car with just over 48000 on the clock 14 months ago and it appears that the oil fairys have been topping up the oil, as the level on the dip stick has not moved in all the time I have had the car......

I was puzzled like you with my 146 1.6 TS. looks like many of us have been blessed with excellent TS engines. my 156 1.8 TS is averaging 1/2 litre every 10000 km, very reasonable.

I've had to top mine up today a drop since changing the oil a few hundred miles ago - has done 135k though ! No smoke and no drips so guess its used a little bit - only about 3mm off the max though.
