i curently have a dream 147ts running on odd tyres that need replacing they are 17". i dont do huge miles but want something that works well.

Also, make sure they are 215/45R17.
Many people have found their car have had the wrong size fitted at some point.

Whatever you do, don't go for Pirelli.............they have no longevity. I run Michelin on my GTA. Very happy with the Pilotsport 2's....maybe your tyre fitter could get a Michelin equivalent for you?

I have Falken FK452 215/45R17s on my 147 and i'm very pleased with them.

Got them from Camskill Performance and had a local tyre firm fit and balance them plus I had 4 wheel tracking done at the same time.

How are you enjoying you 147 2.0, had mine a year and still lovin' it. Got any pics.

Don't go crazy on them straight away, it takes about 10 - 20 miles to scrub off the mould releasing agent which can make them feel a little slick.
You can progressively push them after the release agent has worn away upto the 500ish mile mark.
After about 500 miles the tread blocks will be nicely worn in - thats the time to enjoy.

My 147 (140bhp diesel) has 205/55/r16 tyres. I also checked on the National Tyre website by typing my reg in and that said 16" as well.

What's with the 17"? Is this for the GTA?

205/55R16 is the correct 16" size.
17" was an optional extra and use 215/45R17.

GTA 17" are 225/45R17

My 147 is a standard 2 litre not GTA yet I have 17s on it.

you'll have the pepperpot alloys, like me. My 147 is a 2.0 sele lusso, but was an optional upgrade for 17"'s in garage. If you're wheels are 17" you need 215/45/17's
