My Spider 2.00 TS overheats seemingly randomly. I have replaced the radiator, the thermostat and the AA "sniffer test" shows it's not a head gasket.

The car will run fine for 1500 miles and then have a couple of weeks of overheating every 100 miles or so. The only thing that moderates it is if I put the heaters on full blast. With UK weather at 32 degrees - thats not much fun!

The AA seems to think its not the water pump as both inlet and outlet hoses seem to be about the same temperature.

I really don't know what to do!

Well thats not much of a water pump test!!

Does it do it on the run, only in traffic etc.

Are the rad fans kicking in?
