Couple of Q's.

How can i check the level of the gearbox oil, and how do i top it up?

Reason i ask is that there's a defenite clunk when it changes into 2nd gear mostly.

Thanks in advance.

Its a selespeed btw.

Checking a TS gearbox is simple. Making sure the car is on level ground, undo and remove the filler plug on the side of the gearbox and if it's correct, you should be able to feel it with your little finger ... yes, it is that basic!

The filler plug is about half way up on the front side (towards to front of the car). It's a hex plug ... 12mm IIRC. link to pic

You'll need 75W90 GL5 synthetic oil to top up. Make sure the car is level and simply add the oil slowly until it starts to run back out. Put the filler plug back in.

I'm assuming you didn't mean the selespeed fluid ... think that's a dip stick, etc.

You might just be able to access it from the top ... but take care of the switch just to the right of the plug.
