Hey Guys,

Hope you all are doing well?

For a couple of weeks now I have had a knocking kind of noise coming from the driver side front wheel well? After having a slow puncture and taking the wheel off ,to have the puncture repaired, I noticed a bit of oil leaking from the shock absorber. Now I obviously know that the shocks need replacing and will get to it as soon as I can.

But could this noise only be from the shot shock, or could it be something else? I have been told that it could be the control arm bushes. And I thought that I ask, while I am busy with the shocks?

Then do you guys know where I can find decent shocks for a decent price?

Noise could just be the shocks, but check the droplinks for worn bushes, and lower arm bushes.
Get a pry bar under the lower arm bushes, there should be little to no movement in them.

Also check the Balljoint where the lower arm meets the hub carrier, if the boot is perished then likely the balljoint will be knackered.

All of the above can cause knocking.
