The standard clutch is pretty good, and capable of handling much more torque than you will get out of a TS.

The last clutch I bought was an LUK item from buypartsby, although it was actually a Valeo item (original equipment) in an LUK box.

They are around £120 all in.

I'be replaced mine by a Valeo one when I bought the car, it's doing its job very well :)
I think the original one fitted at the factory was a Valeo one anyway.

I am pretty sure most kits will have a Valeo clutch in them, no matter what is on the box.
I have seen Unipart boxed clutches with a Valeo stamped clutch inside.

Even if it idoes come as an LUK unit, there is nothing wrong with them anyway.

Just don't be tempted to buy a Techniclutch. They are fit for use as a mud weight but little else.

I did a google search on Techniclutch having read Symon's comments. He's right! Do the same and you'll see all sorts of makes and models with problems. Thanks for the 'heads up'.

Many years back I fitted one to a Rover 800 Vitesse.

Within a week it was slipping, despite the car being totally standard.

I sent it back but it meant taking the car apart again.
