so tell me more i am a complete newbie on exhaust matters............................ obviously this is replacing the section from engine to start of middle section is it ?????? possibly increasing engine breathing ???? would i benefit from more sporty sound even with just this change and standard middle rear ???

It will replace the standard cat, gives more of a rasp and *can* improve performance. AFAIK rather than add sheer volume it will make a more sporty note. It will sound louder but not as much of a volume difference as an unsilenced centre section for example.
