Has anyone ever put a board down in the rear boot compartment?

I just noticed that the carpet has nothing flat to sit on.

I havent seen a board ever on a Sprint boot .Mainly because the spare wheel supports the carpet but i am guesssing that you could use one ut it will be a pain to remove in case you will want to use the spare tire.

i have a thin sheet of MDF but that is so i can screw a sub and amps down

I'm sure a simple MDF or 5mm ply board would be fine under the carpet.

i made a board out of thin plywood and glued some black material to it, makes a nice neat job and stops things falling down the side of the wheel

I installed an 12mm mdf , shaped to the floor of the boot in George's car, so I could install his subwoofer box for the competition.
That was 5 years ago, but he still has it in.
Good soundproof as well
