I have a 1986 Spider Quadrifoglio that recently had some work done on it. I noticed a black wire harness with a red/black wire and a male/female plug coming out of the center console. It is about 2 feet long. I also have the hardtop and the electrical cord for it is plugged in to the plug on the drivers side receptacle behind the door in the frame area. I can't remember if this unknown plug was there before but it looks like it is long enough to go under the rear back carpeted cover to what I do not know- I looked and nothing there. Car starts and runs ok. Anyone know what this might be?

there is no wire like that under the parking brake console of a spider that I know of.
also that type of molded connector plug is not used on our alfas....it looks like a typical plug used for a battery tender/charger connection.

my guess would be something aftermarket added by a previous owner...perhaps there was a radio amplifier, or CD changer fitted, something like that?

is there voltage present, say with key on?

If the car works, I'd tuck it away safe and ignore it:)
