Any recommendations for best gearbox/transmission fluid/oil? Also for the rear diff too if you have any ideas?

I'm sure you will get lots of opinions, but I just changed mine to Straight weight 30 oil (its an oldy) based on papajam's recommendation, and it feels better to me. Was cheap too! Paid $3.75 Canadian per 900ml.

Quantity required 1.8L.

Car must be level to fill properly. Transmission is full when the oil just starts to come out the fill hole.

Thanks Vin. As you say, there's a lot of opinions (been scanning BB). Don't think mine's been changed for a long long time so I think anything will make it work better!

On the BB lots says RedLine trans oil, think it's a 75(80)-90 GL4 oil that is fawoured, but that's maybe older versions.
My gearbox was rebuild 12 years/25k miles ago, don't know what was put in but all is alright incl. 2 and 3 syncros.
