Yep, sorry Roy - I've told a couple of Alfa specialists & dealers to give me first bagsy on any 166 3.2 Ti they come across. Especially as it's a manual. Like abecketts says, the Ti option on the hardly-sold 3.2Ti was an expensive option anyway so probable single-figures left on the road now.
And am I right in saying the Ti spec was a UK-only special option? So you can't even spread your net & get an LHD one in Europe? I could be wrong.
Ok, so the opportunity might be coming up for me to purchase a 164 12v Green Cloverleaf, I would have to sell my GTA and hopefully keep a nice chunk of money along with obtaining said Cloverleaf
As you all know I already have a 164 Lusso and I just got it back, driving it home from Penzance this...

I need a new 6 speed gearbox for my 2005 2.0 166ti.
The main input shaft has worn on current one.
Also wiling to sell as she is for £750. Also needs a clutch.Low miles of 88000.Runs as sweet as a nut. I'd keep her but got 3 other Alfas here. Very rare car, think only 2 are taxed in UK...
I think I have a very small leak between cylinder head and front manifold, it sounds a bit like a belt chirp/whine around 1900-2400 RPM. (I might have put the gasket on wrong...)
Is it possible to loosen stuff enough to replace/turn the gaskets without pulling everything apart?
This battle has now been raging for almost a week and so far I,ve managed to stop myself bashing them with a sledge hammer and metal drift..but at times its been goading me. I've managed to move one, yes one, all of 2mm.
I am keen to reuse the liners if possible which have been in situ at least...
