My 166 has developed a problem, they're working on the outside but the lights on the instrument cluster aren't. In fact when I indicate in one direction (I think it's left) the hazard warning switch flashes.
I've read some posts showing a way to by-pass the green control module. I've done this and indicators and instrument signals are working fine but the hazards aren't operating. Are these are a requirement for MOT?
Also, I need to remove my air bag ECU, does anyone know how many nuts hold this in place? I've found one so far but I've loosened it and the ECU seems to be rock solid.

Thanks Paul, I have now sorted the problem out - by accident whilst trying to fix another fault - I heard a relay clicking in the fuse compartment under the dashboard. It turned out to be the indicator relay and I "fiddled" with it and now my indicators and hazards work using the module wiring by-pass shown on the forum.
I now have another problem which I'm going to start a new thread about...
