Hello All.
I have had my M Reg 164 QV for last 5 years. Still only 72k miles and lovely condition all round having been very well cared for.
However, the gearbox dropped all its oil on the motorway on Christmas day!
Now at a garage away from home requiring a replacement box.
Wondering what to do with it.
I love the car but am leaving the country in a few months so was going to either sell it or store it at my dads anyway.
How much could I expect to get selling it when it's fixed?
Should I try and sell it as it is now this has happenned?

Real pain as the rest of the car is so good.

What would you do? And does anyone have a spare gearbox for this car?

Happy New Year!

Oooh, ouch! What a way to start the new year...

Welcome to AO, and yes, I'd keep it, there's precious few good 'uns left. Store it at least for a while, I'm sure you should be able to find a gearbox around somewhere...

Remember, the QV should fetch the most out of the 164 range... especially if low miles and very clean!

Good luck, and keep us informed!
