ok mt last GTV was written off last week, just picked up the new one a 3.0V6 this time and I have a general question about wheels n tyres.

My new one has some very shabby alfa rims on it and i want to put alloys on (non Alfa) Does anyone know if 17" rims will fit I know it also depends on the tyre size but assume an average low profile tyre like Pirreli P6 or Bridgestone.
Will 17" fit without troubling the wheel arches?

Later cars were fitted with 17" wheels as standard, so as long as you get the correct offset and tyre size they should go straight on.

The tyre size was 225/45 R17 on later cars.

tbh I think fitting the genuine Alfa 17" wheels is the way to go. Two choices with the GTV if you wish to go original:
1) Teledials (similar in design as fitted to the 147/156 GTAs).
2) The five-spoke Enzo design as fitted to the P3s.

Both look great but the five-spoke Enzo is the best of the lot imho.
