Hi Guys,

Just wondering if some one can help me, a couple of times now I have had a puff of white smoke come out of the exhaust, its not often only a couple of times in the past 2 weeks.

Now im not loosing coolant...... and the smoke was not moisture it was more of a unburnt diesel smell possibly from a sticking EGR valve??

Theres no signs of a head gasket failure and nothing on a alfa DTC reader.

I did have pre-heat glow plugs not available coming up on the dashboard and have since changed them with a new battery aswell, not sure if this might of been the cause but any help would be greatfully recieved.

Could be dpf cleaning itself through a regen. Usually burns all the crap out and does omit White smoke. Well at least it used to when I had a dpf

Yeah could be a regen, although I usually find its more blue-ish than white

White is oil leaking into the turbo on the exhaust side usually. Might be though, but it's a possibility.

Check your brake fluid level in case there is a leak in the servo.

No leaks in the servo or anything, possibly the DPF doing a regen but im personally not convinced tbh.
Drove the car from cornwall to reading and back this weekend and its been fine.......
Will just have to see how I get on with it.
