Just been and put a deposit on a white Cloverleaf this afternoon. My beautiful V6 has got to go. The price of fuel has finally started spoiling the pleasure I get from it. Driving 25,000 miles a year you can imagine my fuel bill
I was really impressed with how solid it felt, it's a year old and not a single squeak or rattle. I was hoping to get a black one rather than white but this one is fully loaded, glass roof with sun roof, Bose, sat nav, etc so would have been mad to pass it up. I'll just have to make more time for keeping it clean :)
Hopefully I should have it by the end of next week so watch for pics :)

I know lol, I feel bad about it but I thought by getting a Cloverleaf I was not just thinking with my head, there's still some heart there.
i went for the 170 diesel because it gave me the best balance of economy and fun in the range (in my opinion) I would have loved the QV but the CSA woudnt drop my payments just because I had to spend more on fuel... :)

I didn't really drive it in anger but I think the V6 has the edge but that may be because of the sound :) I was surpised how fast I was going at times around the country rounds, the handling was excellent and when I looked down at the speedo I fully expected to see 20mph less on the dial. It certainly pipped the 159 in the handling department but possibly a draw acceleration-wise (I'll let you know once I get my hands on it full time).
The cab was a nicer place to be then I expected and I do feel the 159 dash is looking a bit dated now compared to some of the new motors on the road.
I'm still a bit unsure regarding the seatsbut was unable to properly judge as I've got a bad neck at the moment but I'm sure with a bit of adjustment I'll get them right for me.

Congrats on your new (well soon) Giulietta.

I think mine is great. for me though, cleaning is a bit of an obsession.

I have never owned a V6 so cant comment on the performance/noise difference but i'm sure you will be happy.

I'm quite happy with the support in the seats after reading they weren't as good as previous seating in the 156 or 159.

Surprised at Alfred TI's Fuelly reading as I'm getting 34mpg fairly easily with my GQV.

@Spyder: Congrats on joining the club BTW!

Oh no the thread's gone MPG...
Mine is so low because i my daily commute is only 3 miles and there are 2 sets of lights at the half way mark. This means that i arrive with a cold engine and it just sits drinking the fuel while it warms up. It takes on average 3 light changes to get through the first one on my way to work and 1 to get through the second set.
On my way home it is more like 6 or 7 due to me needing to turn right at the second set of lights and therefore being stuck behind loads of people waiting to turn right at the first set.

When i get past the lights the car is just about up to temp so i plant my right foot firmly in the carpet to get up to the speed limmit :D.

This means that my work commute gives 22-23mpg on a conjested day and about 25-26 on a free day. Motorway trips return 34-37mpg at 70+10% :)

It's a good move I reckon... Even if it's a class down than the 159, I think you should be able to keep her for 3 years until a good used (new) Giulia comes in your way...
My plan exactly (well that depends on the Giulia obviously)

I don't want it to be all about mpg but I'm hoping to see a 30% saving on what I'm paying out now. The 159 is running a rock steady 23mpg average and if I can get that up to 30 I'll be happy.

Of course there are more economical cars out there but just look at the Giulietta!!! Beautiful.
I've just got to learn how to spell it now
