Alfa 159 TBI Ti with upgrades for sale

Mature Alfa enthusiast owned by myself for the last year and a bit, used as a second weekend car. Selling as I fancied something old and RWD so bought a Porsche 924S…

I’ve spent a considerable amount bringing it up to its current state, which I think is a really nice tasteful example of the best of the 159 range. If you know these cars, the Tbi is widely regarded to be the best engine choice due to its light weight, decent economy and strong performance.
When I got the car, it had its original multispoke alloys which I never really liked, were pretty shot, and were a pain to keep clean. After a long line of Alfa’s in my ownership, I always loved them on teledials so I bought (at great expanse) this set of official Prodrive wheels and had them refurbed. I think they suit it perfectly.
Mileage: 100,500, still in use occasionally so will increase marginally.

  • Ti spec, cruise control, nicer heated seats, trim, skirts etc
  • Metallic black with black leather interior
  • 4 x matching Bridgestone Potenza 235 40 19 tyres with good tread.
  • 2 x keys

Work done in my ownership with all receipts, all work carried out by Alfa specialist MVC in Manchester.
  • Timing belt & water pump with aux belt at 97k miles Nov ‘21
  • Reconditioned Turbo and replacement of associated gaskets July ’22, this was done prior to remap
  • Replacement genuine Alfa wheel arch liner with proper aero lip (usually broken on these)
  • 4 new drilled discs and pads fitted July ‘22
  • New crank sensor ‘22
  • New battery
  • New fuel pump

  • Upgraded turbo oil feed pipe prior to remap
  • Celtic tuning stage 1 remap to 237bhp and 311lb-ft. Now has some real pace, yet still does decent mileage.
  • Eibach -30mm lowering springs on standard dampers. Fitted by previous owner, a little firmer but still really compliant and comfortable.
  • 19” Prodrive teledials, refurbed in early ’22, one tiny scuff on one wheel, others perfect.
  • Xenon headlamps upgrade.

  • Overall condition is good, except some lacquer peeling on rear bumper and a little on rear near boot. Never bothered me as it still looks very smart and tidy.
  • Scratch on lower part of front bumper passenger side.
  • No dents
  • Subframe is rust free and black hammerited
  • Floorpan is rust free
  • Rear parking sensors not working
  • Brake calipers repainted in Rosso 130 and lacquered with new Alfa decals
  • Ti badges had all faded and gone pink, so I carefully removed them. Not replaced as quite liked it as is. All important Giugiaro badges still present.
  • One rear door handle a little stiff but works fine
  • MOT until end of March ‘23

Overall this is a very sharp looking and brilliant handling car which I’ll probably regret selling. No work needed apart from a little lacquer if it bothers you, as I mentioned this never bothered me as I wanted the mechanicals to be spot on first and foremost.
It’s a very nice drive, with no rattles or clonks, and all the expensive stuff done.
Car is in Manchester M16 at my house.
