Hi guys, some help needed please, I recently took ownership of a Alfa 159 2.4 JTD, absolutely immaculate car, full service history included. The car has done 76k and the last service (5th service) was completed at 71k, the book is all stamped up but I have no idea of the work that was carried out, I am concerned that the timing belt has not been changed, is there anyway of knowing or is this generally completed in the 5th service?

Thanks in advance of your replies.

Dave

Most people would have done it then if not before, but you can't take it for granted; if it didn't specify it in the service book and you don't have any receipts then you'd better get somebody to take a look and see if it appears to need doing, or try and see if the garage who stamped it kept a record.

If your book has been stamped by a main dealer they should have the full details of what and when it was done.
