Hi guys,

Can anyone tell me if the load through hatch I have is missing a trimming panel or not as per the attached photo please? It looks like it is as there are clips on the frame as though a trimming surround should be clipped on. My parts department are struggling to find if it is missing one. If anyone with a non folding rear seat saloon variant can take a look for me and let me that would be brilliant. If it does have a trimming panel it would be even more brilliant if someone could take a photo for me so I can hopefully try to obtain one!

Thanks in advance!

Toby.

Could anyone post some photos of theirs that are different please so I can take them to the dealer and see if I can get the neatly trimmed one for mine!

Thanks.

The boot in the 159 is just shoddy.

What ever you do, don't look up at the parcel shelf
from inside the boot. The finish is appalling. :(

The nicely trimmed one with the padlock is on the cars with the split/ fold seat option (standard on Ti)

The half arsed looking one is what the fixed rear seat hatch looks like - I have had both from new, thats what they look like, and yes, it does look like a bit it missing, but its not.

Also none of them have carpet on the boot roof - which the 156 has

Yes the padlock thing for the split seats to stop people
accessing the boot if they break in through a window.

Pity the seats fold then.

or maybe it's to stop the kids fiddling with it?
Exactly - when I first got my 159 the kids were forever fiddling with the hatch as they thought it was 'sick'. I got the car with the hatch unlocked, didn't realise it could be locked until a few weeks later. Locking it stopped them fiddling and the annoyance to driver was gone!
