Hi all,

My Dad's 159 has had a problem since he bought it around 6 months ago, which results in the oil temperature gauge only working intermittently. When it doesn't work, the little oil light flashes red. I think the most likely cause of it is just the temperature sensor, so we weren't really in a rush to get it sorted.

Anyway, has anyone else's car has suffered a similar problem? I'm just wondering if the sensor is the cause of the problem, and if so, how much does it roughly cost to replace it? I Googled the problem, and it seems it's quite a big job to get to the sensor, as it's located within the sump.

Obviously it's not a serious issue, but it's just a niggling little problem that he wants to get sorted. :)
