Does anyone have any suggestions for places to get an M32 gearbox reconditioned?

Who has had it done, where, and what were the costs? How did it work out?

We all know the symptoms, they are debated in lots of posts, whining, whirring etc etc. Please let's just get suggestions for cures together (changing oil etc is only a temporary thing, we all know that), no gripes, groans and worries just solid advice about where and how much to expect to pay please!

There is extreme to moderate changes!

You could fit an external oil cooler and pump.

On the more moderate side, add l extra and better oil.
You can (afaik) change the end case, in around 2011/2012 they changed the design to include larger bearings (to distribute the load more), include oil galleries (to help ensure lubrication), and add extra fins to the outside (again to add cooling), part is a tad over £200.

This link has more details, I'm sure Ned has the part available:

Any reasonably sized town will have at least one gearbox specialist company who know the M32 inside out.
My town Preston (population 140,000) has at least 2 that I know of.
There shouldn't be any need to travel too far, just ask around locally.

I had mine done a couple of months ago at a place in Halifax called A&S Clutch Tech(Andy 07468422857). £300 for all bearing replaced and new oil, takes around 4 hours and is done without removing the box.
