I've tried fitting my single DIN into my 159. Upon removing the standard head unit, I was delighted to find that the ISO adapter matched the one I already had for my stereo. Fitted it all nicely, no problems at all with getting it in there. Now I plug it in and the thing won't power up.
The standard on is still working so I know I haven't snagged a wire anywhere.
I noticed that the connections in the car harness and the ones on the stereo harness don't match.
(See pics below)

I don't have B&Me as standard, but I was going to get a CANBUS so I can use the steering wheel controls. Will this also correct the connections or should I be buying another adapter as well?

Thanks in advance.

CANBUS adapter should fix it. There is no switched +12 available on the standard ISO connectors of the Alfa, as on/off switching of the standard radio is via the CAN bus.
Most Canbus adapters also supply a switched +12. Alternative is to tap a switched +12 from f.i. the cigarette lighter connection. Also check correct location of switched and permanent +12 on A4 and A7, if not using a canbus adapter

sometimes with Alfa they are reversed
