in an amazing article in the top gear new cars guide the 159 sw is torn to pieces.

very harsh as they say, avoid this car... dont buy one and we cant believe this car is still in production.

was quite shocked how scathing they were

Well the other thing is when the reviews are written. If they are a few years old you can imagine it being a little kore positive. As time goes on (and the model gets long in the tooth) the cars value does drop. We get used to the looks

The car is a nice car. I like mine but I'm not blinkered enough to realise there are now advancements and that the 159 is a touch tired and does have faults.

A refresh is needed. A new decent range of engines are needed.

I'm happy for a while in mine but will be interested to see the new model when it comes out and I may well buy one as my day to day car and get something a bit nicer for the other times.

You have to remember that these guys write for sensationalism, especially the BBC lot, I would not trust a word that started life in that place.

Motoring jurnos are writers, they left school or college wanting to be a journalist, its by chance in most cases they became car pundits, they could just as easily finished up writing for kids comics. Not a lot of difference really!

I disagree with you on one point, yes we get used to the look of the 159, but no other manufacturer has come even close with a car that looks as good, no one. (OK Aston Martin and Jaguar maybe:lol:)
