Hi,

My dad's 159 2.2 JTS has front and rear parking sensors, and he hates them.

The car has outgrown the old 155 quite a bit, and his garage is just long enough for the 159, with a tight squeeze between the door posts. He has a 'buffer pad' on the wall, and drives slowly until he nudges against it, then the car just fits, however at this point the parking assist is going nuts, and also goes nuts when he starts up to leave the garage. It also has a problem with the proximity of the door posts, and apparently went nuts when parked in long grass the other day.

There is a switch in the set on the roof to disable the sensors, but it only turns it off temporarily... is it possible to turn it off as a default, and just turn it on if it's wanted?

Thanks,
Jon

There's probably a fuse you can take out. Should say in the handbook. :)

I'd have thought removing the fuse would trip the
"Parking Sensor Unavailable" alarm every time you
start the car. Which'll be just as annoying as the
parking radar itself. ;)
