Good afternoon guys & gals.

I have a 2006 159 1.9jtdm that has an issue. I replaced a dead 12v battery, and the keys were not recognised. I got someone out to reprogram, and he said that the body control module (or body computer) wasn’t communicating with his computer. I’ve called up Alfa and been quoted £580 for a new replacement programmed to my car. Does anyone know a cheaper way of doing this? Maybe buy a used BCM and have it reprogrammed (I have the correct code)?

Any help greatly appreciated

TIA

What software was he using? Might be worth trying MES first see if that will communicate.

If it’s anything like other cars I have worked on the BCM is a one shot type thing and a used cannot be programmed to another car.

I have no idea. He used 3 separate devices and all of them were a no. Thanks for your help though
