Hi All

My 159 Ti has just hit 125K so I've decided it's time to move on.
I've seen a G 2.0JTDM2 170 Veloce at the garage I bought my last 3 Alfa's from and wanted to ask anyone else that's moved from a 159 Ti to a G how they have found it;

So first off I do mostly motorway miles(70 miles round trip to work) and get 36-38 MPG
What should I expect from the G

The Ti suspension is really stiff and not great for passengers when your doing more than 10 miles
How's the set up for the Veloce on 18's

On paper they have similar performance 0-60 in 8.0 sec's
is this right.

I think you are going to be happy with the G in comparison.

It feels lighter and faster due to a better power to weight ratio.

Ride is firm and a bit crashy as standard, especially at low speeds but at higher speeds it smooths out and is comfortable on motorways. If you want it to ride better upgraded dampers are cheap enough and Eibach springs also improve matters further.

You might find that it feels a bit less solid inside and the quality of materials and build are not as good as the 159. But the body build quality and underseal etc are better than on the 159.

As for MPG expect an average of 45mpg upwards in general driving and just over 50mpg on the motorway. You might get 55mph on a steady 60mph A/B road run.
