Can´t find any specified lifting points for the 2.4 JTDM in Elearn. There is one lifting bracket mounted on the front left side (red marked) Anyone know ?

Found it myself. Liftingpoints for the 1,9 JTDM but I guess it´s the same for 2,4.

Well they are different engine, but other lifting point must be opposite the red lifting point to balance engine as it comes out

I prefer the "out the bottom" approach, but you can't do it unless you have a lift.

Had some scrapmetal entering the timingbelt lower drive sprocket. A bad photo but 17 of 20rockerarms broken...Anyone of you guys know if you have to replace the tappets whit the rockerarms?

why did you remove then engine no valves will be bent its a run safe engine just replace the rocker arms cambelt and water pump remove the damaged rockers change the oil and filter and off you go 5 hours tops

this could have be done with the engine in the car!!!
I replaced the cilinder head with the engine in the car

Also replace the ones that "seems" ok!!!

Replace all 20 rocker arms to be safe.

I didn´t think it was possible to change the timing belt on the 2.4 with the engine in the car ?! Only the 1.9.Please inform me how to do this! Anyway, I will change the intake manifold as well and I have some bearings from the rocker arms entered into the oil sump...

You can replace the cylinder head and do the timing belt in situ with few problems mate - access through the wheel arch to the bottom pulley.

And you need somebody with a crowbar to push the engine away so you can remove the engine support base thats bolted over the timing belt.

Make sure you get every last little ball bearing out. I think there is 15 on each rocker, but you should check one of the unbroken rockers and count how many there is to be sure.

I now got the rocker bearings out of the sump and some additional ones in the oilchannels.
I start woundering if the scrapmetal I got in the timing belt is a part from the timing belts crankshafts driving gear! I will post some photos in the weekend.
