Hi

I am new to alfaowner.com and have found it very informative. I have a 2006 159 2.2 jts, I have never had any problems with it and it still goes a treat and puts a big smile on my face every time I drive it. I have never changed any of the belts including the drive chain. No warning light has gone on, my question is should I change the drive chain if I have no indication that it needs replacing.

Many thanks for all your help.

Welcome. I personally wouldn't touch it unless it needs it. Its not like a timing belt where, if it fails it becomes an expensive rebuilt. Change the oil twice as often as the manual suggests and you should be fine.

As SLM3CFC. There'll be plenty of warning before it does need replacing.
No point wasting your hard earned.

Thank you both for the advice. Much appreciated.
 Enjoy the car, and try not to read too much into the problems some people might have with theirs.
I made that mistake years ago!
