I have noticed after replacing my front wishbones on my 156 2.4JTD there is a small amount of play in the bottom ball joints on both sides, is this normal for these wishbones, or are they faulty.

Hi mate, there shouldnt be any play in any ball joints on any car.

Sounds like the lowers need replacing as well, About £140 each from alfa. Maybe cheaper on ebay but watch out for non genuine parts, they will be cheaper but will last half as long so a false economy.

Thanks, what I thought there should be no play in the ball joints, will look for replacements then.
