Can someone please advise me on engine warning lights in my 2001 2.0 TS?

The handbook shows three red ‘warning’ lights in the top right of the rev. counter – oil pressure, battery charge and injection malfunction. However, I have two red, the oil and battery, but the third is yellow (advisory only?) and looks like an engine block. I’ve always been aware of this, but never pursued it as I’ve never had a problem.

Recently on just a couple of occasions the yellow one has come on and stayed on for a bit, even if I restart the engine. However, by the next day it’s been off again so I’ve continued to ignore it. But, is it an alternative injection malfunction symbol? And if so, why is it yellow?

Your handbook is for the older CF2 spec and your car is the later CF3 spec.

CF3 have a yellow engine shape warning light for engine management issues.
CF2 have a red injector shape warning light for engine management issues.

Engine management - sounds like an intermittent issue that clears itself...

I wouldn't ignore it completely.
A quick scan with FiatECUScan or AlfaDiag would tell you what is causing it.
There may be a member close to you that can help with that if you don't have a cable.
