I was planning on getting the bumpers sprayed on my sw along with my new skirts fitting (old ones are warped & peeling off).

Looking around at facelift parts it seems that for not that much more i can get the facelift parts sprayed up & fitted to my pre-facelift 156.

Comparing model numbers on Shop4Parts it seems that all i will need is:

Bumper : £179.99

Lights : £160.00

Top Grill/Badge : £19.46

Centre Grill : £27.22

Radiator Grills : £25.56

Wings: £185.00

----Total £607.23----

I cant find the facelift bonnet anywhere, does anyone have an idea how much one of these will cost.

Also is there anywhere i can get facelift Xenon headlights for less than £600!?!

Matt!

Isn't there some brackets or fixings or anything for the different headlights? Trim pieces between the bumper and bonnet, and around the grille?

Matt, do you need the 2 x front wings? You can have the pair for £100 if that's of any interested. They are in Cosmos Blue I think.

Love your idea, but would you not be cheaper to part ex for a facelift model, or have you grown attatched. I am looking into the PC in mine.

hey guys, i picked up my new 156 (well new to me (V Plate)) ive been researching this quite heavily the only place i have seen a Mk2 bonnet is on Ebay, or from an Alfa Body shop ive asked afew questions about it, my local specialist says it is very easy to do, so im in the process of purchasing the parts also, but the bonnets are crazy expensive look out for rear enders being broken is my advice :)

No, ive just spent over 2000 on suspension and 1750 on a new engine. Ive just spent all this time putting this one right, its a daunting prospect buying another lol.

...also where is the fun in that!

Yeah it appears the bonnets are quite hard to get hold of 156zoo. Let me know if you find a cheap source.

Where do all the crashed ones go?, i thought they went to Alfa heaven

Facelift has a different slam panel too afaik. A lot of people ask this question and look into it and ultimately decided its just not worth it. I haven't heard of anyone whose done it, but i'm sure someone has.

Just been comparing part numbers:

Original 156 Slam panel is S4P1362, the facelift is S4P1363 (£100 or so new)

Also the Crossmembers are different :

Original : S4P1365
Facelift : S4P1364

these are £70 or so new.

The radiator support and front boxed panel are the same.

Definitely still up for doing it and going to start buying parts when i've got the cash.

that's a good, if expensive option 156zoo, that autodelta front bumper is awesome.

Still not found a bonnet, i'm going to walk round to the dealer round the corner in a bit....

PS - cheers Darren!

Haha, cant deny Autodelta would do a good job, but you'd pay for it.

I rekon its more fun attempting it ourselves 156zoo.
