If it is the the phase 2 model with the newer interior (red display in between the air vents), then hold the + and - buttons by the air conditioning button with the ignition on for a good few seconds until it clears.

It's a 2004 model with new headlight style is that phase 2?

Cycle through the screens until the 'mileage until next service' is visible, then hold down the + and - buttons together, after about 10 seconds it will reset the counter.

yes that is correct - but I found with mine that once over 100k miles it would not reset
Never come across that before. I reset mine after servicing it, it will have had something like 120k or 125k on it at the time.
