Not easy unfortunately.
The best route would be to replace the 2.5v6 with a 3.0v6.
The 2.5 has quite a poor torque curve and that isn't helped by only having 4-gears in the Q-System box.
The 3.0 has a far far better torque curve as well has having more power.

166 3.0 V6 24v super intake runners conversion, good for an extra 15 bhp or so... Plenty of auto salvage examples... Just remember to change the gaskets accordingly and get the ECU remapped to make the most of it

Sorry to bring this up again, but I want to do the engine transfer but I can only find 3.2 V6s. Will this fit in and match the Q system auto box? and the ecu probs wont work with it, but that's nothing a remap can't fix, right?

Thanks for that filipharvey

Does anyone know of any torque limits for the Q-System?

Will the 3.2 run on the standard 2.5 ecu? (dw a remap will come shortly after, it just has to get to the place first)

Torque limits on a Aisin box are well beyond the limits of what you want to do Yeew.
The same box is used in Toyota Supra 3.0 twin turbo's and Lexus LS 4.0 V8 and can run these up to and beyond 500 ft/lbs of torque without modification

Strongest box that Alfa have fitted:thumbs:

The same make of gearbox is used but it is not the same model so can't be compared to the Supra or LS gearbox.

Auto box tolerances are usually fairly tight, hence I pulled up that original query.
I know that some Q-System boxes have been taken to around 230 bhp with no issues though - saying that, I'm unsure of the torque values.
I would imagine that a standard mapped 3.2 would be not to far from the limits of the 'box though.
