Mechanical muppet alert mechanical muppet:( alert.

So I am a proud owner of my first ever Alfa a 1.9JTD MJ Sportwagon 2004. Yesterday had a Low Oil pressure alert "Do not proceed" (this 4 days after a service). AA took it to the dealership that undertook the service who today tell me I simply need a new fuel injector. Uhhhh? Can anyone explain why that would be the case?

Yes, that sounds odd.
If the car was struggling and the revs were down lower than the normal idle then the low pressure light could have come on. It is an odd diagnosis though.

That sounds terribly wrong indeed. How can low oil pressure have anything at all to do with the injector?
Has the dealer explained the relation between the low oil pressure and the requirement to fit a new injector? I would love to hear it.

Thanks guys - even I thought it was an odd diagnosis. The dealership in question have been truly dreadful ever since I started dealings with them. Anyway will hear from today with a bit of luck and will see what they have done. Thanks again.
