The rad is flakey and probably should be replaced, the temp goes up to 3/4 mark at hottest (it is 25*C outside these days mind :D) before garage got the car and had to fix a small rad leak with some sealing liquid? it stayed at 90... So I'd say this crap has blocked it up a bit.

I've been quoted £257 for Lyles of Newcastle to do the rad change - all in.
question is - do I let them do it and save the hassle?

Or, do i do it myself and get my swearing hat on?

I think the rad on the jts can be done without removing the bumper. Please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong
Only if you can get to all the self-tapping screws holding the A/C matrix to the rad.

It isn't too tricky to remove the bumper and if you remove it at the start it will save you from having to remove it anyway half way through the job!

Thanks for the replies, I think I might have to chicken out of this one though, I don't really have any spares or other means of transport if something breaks half way through the job - I would leave the family stranded until I could get parts :(

Shame I much prefer doing this sort of thing myself... you really get to know your car!
Its expensive but Lyles are good and I just sold my fish tank :D
