Hi all,

I just spent 46 minutes typing out a new thread on this, whilst logged in but I lost the post because I think I got logged out within that time :/

long story short: someone posted a guide on a couple of forums on how you can replace the camshaft sensor on a 156 JTS without removing the belt or the exhaust pulley. I tried finding that thread to update but I can't.

This post is here to avoid others from trying this procedure. I tried it and it works, but my timing was off by 3 teeth on the exhaust pulley advanced and 1 tooth on the inlet advanced. The engine was very weak after. So I followed the correct full procedure using cam locks as i did a few years ago and the engine is spot-on again.
