Hi All,

I need a bit of help here....

I Have a 156 2.0 twin spark on a '51' plate...

Yesterday morning on the way to work, it has some small power loses, like the car was running with only 3 cylinder (just for 1 second) and then returning to normal... over the 7 mile journey, it probably did it 10 times, just very quick flashes.

This morning when I started the car, it did the same thing again for about a mile then just started to do it more and more until it was a 50/50 split of running normally and running in slow mode...

The Engine management light is coming on when ever this blip occurs.

Anyone know what might be wrong?

Firstly check that your battery terminals are still on tightly, then get the codes read to find out what is at fault, I'd think it's probably the MAF, plugs or coil packs at fault, if you like and are near Swindon then PM me and I'll slap it on the diagnostics for you.

could be any of several reasons....best to get the car diagnosed

you could look at the more basic stuff yourself, loose battery conenctions, water/oil down the plug wells
