It clicks but does nothing (should cycle through the infocentre displays)... looking at EPER it's all one big assembly with clock spring, wiper stalk etc. and there doesn't appear to be any easy way to dismantle just the indicator stalk and have a poke around the switch. Has anybody had the same problem and found a way to tinker without steering wheel off etc.?

You're not missing much without the info centre. If it's stuck on the date and temperature then I'd leave it alone as it has no other useful purpose.

There's no easy way but you can dismantle the stalk assembly if you're patient and very careful not to break anything and remember which screw goes where (quite a few of them, in different sizes). Putting it back together is not fun.
Get the cheapest one from a breakers to practice on if you must

Can't remember for sure, you can remove the airbag and squib without taking the wheel off, but at that point it's just a matter of undoing the large nut and it's off. You'll need a big spanner for that, though (24mm). When putting it back, eLearn says to torque at 4.2 - 5.2 daNm but I don't have a torque wrench so just did it as tight as seemed reasonable. Hasn't fallen off yet :fingerscrossed:
