Can anyone tell me what size spanner I need to remove the callipers on my 156. Planning to replace the discs at the weekend and want to make sure I dont need any specialist tools.

Thanks

At front you will need a 7mm allen key or hex drive

At rear you will need a caliper wind-in tool as they don't just push back.

Other than that the usual assortment of spanners.

I've got a how-to on my website if it helps .... click on the link in my signature area below.

As above....7mm allen key, 19mm (iirc) spanner for the carrier and I think it's a 10mm spanner for the brake disc retaining spike/nut...these can seize so make sure the spanner is flat to the disc or it'll round off!

Dead easy job on the front....not done the rears recently but think the spanners will be similar.

Thanks for the advice. After 2 sheared retaining bolts, 2 broken nut splitters and a lot af abuse with a cutting tool, the discs, pads and drop links all replaced!

Can believe the difference the new links make to the drive.... Feels like a new car!

Cheers
