My GTV used to regularly do from home to Aberystwyth and back on 1 tank, thats about 400 miles (plus a little bit of driving about when down there), the light would ping on when I was about a mile from home. That is alot of cruising at a reasonable high speed though which the she seems happiest at

I had 430 miles out of my 156 GTA. Leighton Buzzard -> York with cruise set to 77ish, driving around York for around 50 miles (mostly A-roads, not a lot of town), and then York -> Leighton Buzzard with cruise on except for the last 20 miles or so where I slowed down to about 60. Limped back in with the fuel light on, 34mpg average (thats what the book says it will do as well)

400 miles is the standard mileage I get out of my TS. Admittedly most of that is on dual carriageways.

To the OP, your thermostat might be up the spout - a duff one is a common cause of poor mpg on TS engines.

I squeezed 269 out of a full tank a few weeks back  nearly all motorway driving and the light came on when i was on the way back, not sure how much was left in there when i got home as the 'range' on the trip computer just showed ---- miles

Hi

With our early 156 2L TS a bit under 400 miles is pretty normal, with short journies and using the revs. Taken it easy on the last tank and it has done 400 miles and is still showing about 1/4 of a tank left. I know taking it easy (70~75mph motorway cruising) it can do 37mpg, which using 60L of a tank of fuel would be just short of 490 miles on a tank.

All the best

That's a good point does the 156 have a bigger or smaller tank than the Gtv?

I know I stick around 55-60 Litres in mine EVERY week

I filled my Gta for the first time yesterday and the range said 647 miles. Think that's a tad optimistic. It must have got confused as it's never had that much in it and just had to give a best guess!

Good to know it's a 63 litre tank, I thought it was 60 litres and got 60.44 litres in, so thought my warning light might have been playing up.
